Patti Parker - President I recently started my second term as President and look forward to the creative energy our new board members have to offer.  It looks easy from the outside, but something I quickly learned two years ago, it sure isn't!  It takes a lot of work to keep the organization running, and especially to plan and hold our events. Julie Newton - Membership   I have been a WBS member for over 15 years and have been on the board 4 years, during that time I have been Merchandise Chairman and continue to assist in that area, and last spring I also became Membership Chairman. I want to help the WBS increase our presence in the community as well as increase our membership.  I’m passionate about supporting and keeping the Blues Alive in Wichita!

Michael Peltzer - Events committee I am in the music program at WSU. I do the WBS open Jam at The Shamrock and you can find me in different venues and settings in Wichita.  I am looking forward to keeping the blues rolllin' in Wichita.

Interested in becoming a board member and making a difference? All of the wonderful things this organization does are accomplished by volunteers which are lead by a small group of dedicated members who offer their talent and time as the WBS Board of Directors. That's right 'a small group of dedicated people can make a big difference in the world and so can you! We have 9 positions available on our board and each board member is elected for a two year term. Elections are held every year to fill any vacancies. Since we have two year terms, the vacancies are staggered leaving between 5 or 4 positions open for each election.
