Welcome to the home of the Wichita Blues Society.

The Blues is the first truly American music. With its roots in the deep South of the 1800s, it spread across the U.S., evolving based on the styles and preferences of the region it landed in. From the acoustic guitar and foot drum of front porch Blues to the electrifying sounds of the Chicago Blues scene, it has been the major influence in country and western, rock and jazz.

The mission of the Wichita Blues Society is to keep the Blues alive. We hope you enjoy visiting our site, and find it useful to connect with the Blues in Wichita and the surrounding areas. Visit the News/Events section to find a show or festival to attend. In addition to other changes, we will be adding CD reviews and announcements so you can find out about the latest releases and artists in the world of Blues.

Please consider joining the Wichita Blues Society. Check out our Membership Page to join.

Do you have suggestions or feedback on the site? We'd love to hear it.
