Locally known as the round-mound-of-sound The Cotillion is a 2000 seat special events facility in Wichita Kansas that presents concerts and dances on a regular basis. All styles of music are featured at The Cotillion including concerts by most of the top names in blues and jazz. Some of the blues legends that have performed at The Cotillion over the years include B B King, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert Collins, Roy Buchanan, Buddy Guy, Freddy King, Albert King, Delbert McClinton, Tyrone Davis . . . well, you get the idea.

A premier blues club located at the heart of the city, Mort's offers not only a large variety of martinis, but also a wide selection of cigars for the discriminate smoker. When you're at Rockin' Daddies, your apt to feel like you/ve slip back to the 50's or 60's. The walls are eye candy for the Jimmy Reed era, focusing on vintage records and instruments. The ambiance is casual as you bring your own bottle and relax on the sofa or a small table for four. Get comfortable as the rare tracks fill the space until the band begins. Only open from 9:00 till 12:00 on Friday and Saturday, the music offered here is always primo, as special guests walk in and out the doors. For a five dollar cover, Rockin' Daddies is certainly one of the best times in the city!

If you hear the tasty licks of a blues guitar as you stroll the Old Town district, chances are, you're not far from The Brickyard, an open-air club with a sunken patio feeling. Blues enthusiasts fill the club to listen to their favorite live blues band and pack the dance floor to the wee hours of the morning. The Brickyard is one of the highest energy clubs in the Old Town district.

Knuckleheads was voted KC's Best Live Music Venue and is the 2008 Keepin the Blues Alive Winner.

It was 1887 when the old boarding house was built by the tracks. You could hear the music of the old west, the song of the cowboys and the trains. Today the old west and the trains sounds still can be heard, along with the sounds of todays BEST blues and honky tonk music in Kansas City. Not much has changed. It's still the best of the old and the new!
